Amulet

Year

2024

This project explores biomimicry, drawing inspiration from scarabs to design an eyewear box that is both functional and refined. Amulet, named in reference to lucky charms, echoes these symbolic objects present in many cultures, notably in ancient Egypt, where the scarab embodied protection and rebirth.

The box, made of Plexiglas, evokes those insects frozen in transparent resin, collected like fragments of precious nature. Its simple, effective magnetic opening mechanism reflects the intelligence of systems found in the living world. The whole is supported by a refined visual identity, emphasizing the elegance of the object while meeting the practical constraints of contemporary packaging.

This project was awarded with the Student Awards from Applied Arts in 2025, into the category of Brand Identity Design Program.
